At UMTA, we have high expectations of excellent character and conduct. We champion positive behaviour and reinforce this through our UMTA golden rules which are:

Assessment For Learning and Tracking Progress
Assessments
Students who attend UMTA will be assessed in all areas of learning. This will allow UMTA teachers/tutors to ensure that all children are meeting their targets and progressing well. Children are assessed:
- On entry
- Informally daily by teachers/tutors
- Formally every month
Sharing information
We share information regarding what the children have learnt during the lesson, as well as homework with parents:
- At the end of each lesson
Student progress
Student progress and targets are shared with parents/carers formally, via a parent meeting during the following times:
- End of term in December
- End of term in April
